There are three main ways to participate in the Coiin Network and compete for a share of the Coiin reward pool:

  1. Run a 3rd Party NVL Validator node — Operate a validator that helps confirm transactions and secure the network. Both Proxy Validators and Independent Validators qualify.
  2. Participate in the Coiin Network consensus mechanism — Actively engage with the network's block signing and verification processes.
  3. Build applications on the Coiin Blockchain — Developers can build apps that generate activity on the network, earning a share of rewards proportional to their application's contribution.

In all three cases, rewards are distributed at the end of each lunar cycle (~28 days) based on your proportional contribution score.
